Can I play the sims 4 on a MacBook air 2018? Posted by 1 year ago. Can I play the sims 4 on a MacBook air 2018? I’ve got a 2012 MacBook that runs the sims 4 on the lowest settings. Yours will definitely work! Check here to find out if your PC or Mac can run The Sims 4 and The Sims 4 Expansion Packs. We no longer support The Sims 4 on the macOS Lion (10.7) operating system. If you want to keep playing the game while running macOS Lion, do not update The Sims 4 to any future game patches. Here are the specs for my mid-2013 MacBook Air:. CPU. Intel Core i5-4250U 159. Intel HD Graphics 5000 274. 13.3”, HD (1440 x 900), TN. Don't expect though to run Sims 4, Battlefield 4 and Crysis all on Ultra and get a solid 60fps. But most if not all games are perfectly playable on this machine. On low-medium (on brand new intensive games) and medium-high on slightly older games. The Sims 4 doesn't look toooo intensive so I can see this running just fine on the Macbook Air!
Can you believe it? The Sims 4 is finally available for Macs! Getting the game up and running is simple, but there are just a few things you need to know.
You see, the Mac version of The Sims 4 is currently only available in digital form. That means, if you recently went to the store to buy a physical copy, you won’t be able to use that CD to install the game. Instead, you’ll have to install Origin, and download the game from there.
First, open up Safari or your web browser of choice and head to the origin.com/download page. Click on the tiny text that says “Download for Mac” underneath the orange button.
After installing and running the application, sign into Origin using your ID and Password. If you don’t have an Origin account at this point, you’ll have no choice but to create one.
If The Sims 4 doesn’t appear within the “My Games” tab, please do the following:
